Understanding Dataset Pages

This guide describes how to understand the dataset pages on DLUHC Open Data. e.g: this Council tax dataset.

Data tab

For cube datasets the Data tab shows the various dimensions in the cube, and allows us to make choices about which data points should be included when a spreadsheet view is created. This tab also provides the ability to download the dataset.

About tab

The about tab contains metadata about the dataset, including licence details, date published, and the date the next update is due.

This tab also contains a description of the dataset, including definitions and methodologies.

API tab

The API tab for the data cube view shows the underlying URIs of the dimensions, which dimensions are locked, and other information relevant to developers and others who might want to access the data programmatically (e.g. via SPARQL).
