APIs Overview

DLUHC Open Data provides highly flexible programmatic access to its data, through the SPARQL endpoint. This API can be used to automate report-writing, publish data visualisations, or make interactive tools for exploring the data. This section describes how to write SPARQL queries, how to interact with the API using some common tools, and an introduction to the structure of the data on MHCLG Open Data.

The guides in this section assume a basic familiarity with using APIs to retrieve data from other sources, and then using the returned data, and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
